Jeremy Cloud

Jeremy has been intimately involved in the spirits industry holding various leadership positions. Before starting Bourbon Capital, Jeremy most recently served as a board member and General Counsel for a private company who is currently building the 9th largest bourbon distillery in the United States set to open this fall in Lancaster, Kentucky. Also, Jeremy currently serves as a board member for a growing spirits brand primarily focused on bourbon, whiskey and ready to drink cocktails. Jeremy began his career as a commercial real estate attorney at Jones Day and then transitioned to various in-house legal roles ultimately becoming General Counsel for a Starwood Capital Group portfolio company where his responsibilities included corporate governance, legal operations, human resources and risk management. Jeremy left that role in 2021 to found Cumulus Consulting Group, an Atlanta-based firm that specializes in providing legal, family office and investment advisory services to a diverse clientele spanning various industries. Jeremy holds both a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Accounting & Finance and a Juris Doctor degree with honors from Florida State University.

Keshav Mehta

Keshav (KK) Mehta is a seasoned entrepreneur and business operator with an illustrious career spanning over 18 years in the consumer products and commodity trading spaces. Before starting Bourbon Capital, KK helped found several companies with annual revenues ranging from $5-150 Million. Most recently KK served as the President of a conglomerate of global consumer brands where he oversaw various aspects of the business from Sales & Marketing, to Manufacturing, E-Commerce and Supply Chain Management. During his tenure as President, KK was instrumental in growing its brands global footprint and successfully helped expand these brands across more than 80 countries. With KK’s leadership and expertise, Bourbon Capital’s growth both domestically and internationally is limitless.

Don Rodgers

Don Rodgers has over 40 years’ experience in the distilled spirits industry. He worked 34 years for Jim Beam in various accounting roles. Don was Manufacturing Controller for 25 years managing all North American plants. He was responsible for all plant accounting, including manufacturing budgeting and cost of goods standards. Don was Corporate Controller for 10 years working with Jim Beam’s Sales, Marketing and Finance teams on strategic planning and worked with the Brand teams to develop business plans for different products. When Don retired in 2008, he saw a huge need for financial services in the Craft Distiller area. As a result, Don has worked with over 200+ Craft Distillers in various states to develop 10 Year Business Plans and Don has numerous clients still active today. Don has assisted his clients in securing financing with banks, SBA loans and private investors with loans as high as $13.5 million. Client investments have ranged from $200k to $8.5 million. Don’s services do not end with strategic planning and securing financing, but Don also provides administrative services to manage barrels for clients and handles all the back-office management requirements. Notably since 2020, Rodgers Consulting has sold over 100,000 barrels for $200 million in gross sales for his clients.

Rakesh Chauhan

Rakesh’s career in commercial real estate began at a young age, having grown up watching his father develop hotels. Early on, Rakesh developed a sharp understanding of the company’s operations, from acquisition and development to implementation of management and processes, which helped set the foundation for his leadership. ‍With a keen eye for innovation and identifying new opportunities, Rakesh has built numerous capital relationships both domestically and internationally, facilitating over $500MM in real estate investments. ‍ Rakesh is a recognized leader in the community and was nominated by his peers for Leadership Atlanta in 2017 to tackle complex issues in the state of Georgia, a 40 under 40 recipient, and EY entrepreneur of the year for 2019. Rakesh plays an advisory role with a number of nonprofit and commercial organizations, among them include Prince Charles foundation. Also, launching the first Atlanta non-profit cohort in partnership with the Koch family’s platform, Stand Together. He has also served on the local board of the Akshaya Patra Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides school lunches to nearly 1.3 million underprivileged children in India. ‍ Rakesh graduated from Birmingham Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Rakesh is actively involved with the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), a global network of young executives and serves on the board of trustees for Holy Innocents Episcopal school.
